Joan Nee and Pam Lee (another awesome watercolor painter) were challenged last August to paint together on piece of paper. So they took the challenge and produced a mixed media collage inspired by the bluffs that surround them.

What started out as a one time challenge, has grown into a painting partnership. In January 2008, 3 of their collaborative pieces were purchased through the Wisconsin Percent for Art Program. They will be on permanent display at the Military affairs office at Camp Douglas Wisconsin. Camp Douglas is not too far from Lacrosse Wi and it too is surrounded by beautiful bluffs.

Joan and Pam continue this partnership and are completing chapter one of what they title the show “As We See It” a series of 20 landscapes inspired by the bluff country. They next chapter is already started and that is “The Old Farm” Watch throughout this year as these chapters are completed new ones begin such as under the water. Originals and prints are available for sale.
